Networking - Southern Utah

Rusty Hughes serves as the Economic Development Director for Washington City, Utah, where she focuses on business attraction and retention, and on creating a supportive environment for economic growth in one of the state's fastest-growing areas. Her efforts have helped Washington City earn recognition as a top small city in America for starting a business, and she has played a key role in landing major projects, including a large-scale logistics center and a new WinCo Foods location. Prior to joining Washington City, Rusty served as Assistant Director at St. George Area Economic Development. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Finance from Dixie State University (now Utah Tech University). On the Utah Alliance board, she leads Southern Utah networking efforts, connecting economic development professionals across the region.
