Marlin Eldred brings more than seventeen years of experience in municipal, county, and private-sector economic development. As Economic Development Director for Lehi City — a role he has held since October 2016 — he oversees business retention and recruitment, downtown revitalization, and community engagement efforts in one of Utah's fastest-growing cities. Earlier in his career, Marlin served as Community and Economic Development Director for Davis County, where he developed eighteen Community Development Areas and established business retention programs across fifteen cities. He also served as Economic Development Director for Emery County and founded the Economic Development Planning Group, a consulting firm serving rural communities statewide. A Utah native, Marlin served in the U.S. Marine Corps before earning a master's degree from the University of Phoenix. He holds a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation.
