The Utah Alliance for Economic Development is committed to growing Utah's economy by providing our membership in both the public and private sectors with effective professional development and networking opportunities.

Our Mission.
The Utah Alliance for Economic Development is a statewide organization of economic development professionals. Our membership includes representatives from state and local government, utility companies, real estate firms, large and small scale development firms, staffing companies, law firms, and private economic development firms. We host training events to learn more about our trade, to discuss common issues and to celebrate victories throughout the state.

The Utah Alliance for Economic Development is made up of economic and business development professionals from across the state. As a collaborative network, we believe in sharing ideas and best practices that move the State of Utah forward. We also connect our members to appropriate economic development. Professional Development.
The Alliance hosts quarterly state-wide meetings in different cities around the state. This gives professionals a chance to learn about the local e anomy in the host city/county, engage in idea sharing with peers, and learn from the pros. Kaden Figgins is the Director of Planning and Economic Development for Garfield County, Utah, where he leads the county's efforts to promote sustainable growth and economic prosperity.
In 2022, Kaden was honored with the "Outstanding Economic Development Director of the Year" award at the Utah Association of Counties (UAC) Annual Conference, in recognition of his exceptional leadership and innovative strategies that have contributed to the economic advancement of Garfield County.
Kaden is a seasoned professional with a distinguished career in rural planning. As the founder and principal consultant of High Mountain Consulting, Kaden has been instrumental in modernizing ordinances and revitalizing rural municipalities and counties across the State of Utah. His innovative approaches and strategic insights have earned him a reputation as a leading authority in driving sustainable growth and development in rural communities.

Ms. Flores is the Economic Development Director for Davis County, leading the county’s economic development initiatives to foster growth and improve the quality of life. She builds partnerships across various sectors, such as industry, academia, and government, and is a crucial link between the Northern Utah Economic Alliance and Davis and Weber Counties. Ms. Flores is an active member of several advisory and executive boards and holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Communication and a Master of Strategic Communication. The Society has recognized her contributions to the field for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering with the 2020 Young Professional Emerging Leadership Award.

Lauren joined the Utah Alliance in 2021 as she was tasked with opening a new office for a previous employer in Utah. In 2022, she was invited to join the board and currently serves as the co-chair for the Membership/Sponsorship Committee in the Alliance. She loves her position at Galloway & Co., where she provides strategic business development by building effective relationships with current and future clients throughout Utah. She has earned several accolades for her commitment to excellence, including the Pathfinder Award from the Salt Lake Chamber in 2021.
